Under the stained glass windows are scenes from Jesus' journey to the cross. Each scene is a stop or a "station" along the way. The first seven stations are on the west side of the church; the last seven are on the east side of the church. Visitors pray the stations by standing before each one and reflecting on the scene portrayed. Using a prayer guide to the Stations of the Cross can be helpful.
The Stations of the Cross in our church were taken from the old church. Now they are arranged in a way that is close to the people -- they are at a very accessible level for reflection and prayer.
