April 12th, 2006:
BON SCOTT MEMORABILIA AUCTION ENDED.
Bon's former wife Irene Thornton had decided to auction some rare and personal Bon memorabilia. The auction has just been concluded, including Bon's 1975 shaving mirror embossed with "Bon" which has sold for $12,540 and an original High Voltage (Australian edition) test pressing vinyl LP which sold for $8,655! Here is the full story:
A shaving mirror
belonging to the late AC/DC singer Bon Scott has sold at auction for $12,540.
The black leather-encased mirror with "Bon" embossed in gold on the outside
was given to the rock legend by his mum, and had been expected to sell for
less than $800.
The 1975 mirror was bought by a private buyer at a Leonard Joel auction in
Melbourne.
The vendor was Scott's former wife, Irene Thornton.
The singer's love letters to Thornton were also up for sale but failed meet
their expected minimum price of $25,000.
A photo album containing shots taken between 1946-1980 of their wedding and
pictures of Scott with his earlier band Fraternity and later AC/DC was also
passed in.
But an AC/DC vinyl test pressing of High Voltage with its original paper and
PVC wrapper sold for $8,655.
It contains eight songs, including You Ain't Got a Hold on Me, Soul Stripper,
Baby Please Don't Go, and She's got Balls.
A spokeswoman for Leonard Joel said the crowd was not the usual auction house
set.
"People were wearing a lot of leather and a lot of AC/DC T-shirts with long
hair - not our usual crowd," she said.
"We have got very eclectic things that come in but this was pretty special."
Scott died in 1980 after a night of heavy drinking in London as the band was
enjoying its first wave of international success after the release of Highway
to Hell.
AC/DC replaced Scott with singer Brian Johnson.
Original AC/DC TOUR BUS (1974-1976) For Sale on EBAY!
A 1957 Flxible Clipper Bus which supposedly belonged to AC/DC during this period and was used as the bands tour bus has been put up for auction on ebay. Early AC/DC manager Michael Browning is said to have sold the bus later to Adelaide radio announcer Des Feary (5AD, Adelaide, Australia) who used it as a motor home for fifteen years. The bus has since been completely restored, but the auction also depicts original photos.

Australian hard rockers AC/DC have been ranked Australia's second top-earning entertainers by the business magazine BRW — behind children's entertainers THE WIGGLES. AC/DC made an estimated $25 million (approximately US$18.5 million) in the year despite not having released an album since 2000. The band's earnings were strong thanks to the release of DVD "Family Jewels", which the magazine said raked in A$6 million (US$4.5 million). SOURCE: BLABBERMOUTH
April 5th, 2006:
The new April 2006 issue of GUITARIST magazine features a new interview with Malcolm young. The majority of the interview consists of information on Mal's guitar and amp, and playing style. However when asked about the new AC/DC album: "'the band are currently recording and writing material for the eagerly anticipated next album" is all that was revealed. The magazine stated "We asked malcolm what's coming up for the band But malcolm is customarily cagey and keeps us guessing". Malcolm finished the statement with "its the same as always ... rock'n'roll....."
According to Neilsen Soundscan, AC/DC's "BACK IN BLACK" (1980) album has shifted another 8,000 copies in sales in the United States last week alone, adding to its 21 million plus copies sold in the USA to date, cementing its status as one of the best selling albums of all time.
AC/DC's "Family
Jewels" DVD release has been certified multi-platinum in Germany! The DVD has
sold more than 100,000 copies in sales in Deutschland, and still remains in
Germany's top 20 DVD charts a year since its release.
Last year the DVD was
certified 5x Platinum in the USA which means more than 500,000 selling units.
In Sweden it stayed in the Top20 DVD-chart for 29 weeks of which it
consolidated the #1 position for six weeks.

R.I.P. PETE WELLS OF ROSE TATTOO
ROSE TATTOO guitarist Pete Wells passed away today after a long battle with prostate cancer. The 58-year-old guitarist, who was diagnosed with cancer in 2002, had been undergoing treatment, which had caused him to stand aside from touring with ROSE TATTOO.

Remembering Pete
Wells (STORY:
THE AGE, AUSTRALIA)
Australia lost its finest rock'n'roll outlaw this week when Pete Wells
succumbed to prostate cancer. The recent Wells benefit concerts, featuring the
cream of Australian music, were testament to his legacy. Who will forget Wells
joining the Beasts of Bourbon on stage for AC/DC's defiant anthem Ride On?
Rose Tattoo singer Angry Anderson told Sticky that last year's tributes meant
the world to Wells. "It was great he knew how well he was thought of. A man
has to be at peace with himself before he leaves the only life he knows."
Radio 3RRR's Neil Rogers recalls seeing Rose Tattoo for the first time in 1978
at Sydney's Parramatta Park as a shy kid. "Tatts were loud, menacing,
uncompromising and totally captivating," he recalls.
Like many others there, Rogers raced out and bought the band's first LP, which
he believes is still the finest debut album of all time.
"Years down the track, I am privileged and humbled to know Pete quite well,
interviewing him many times on the radio about his latest CD. I learnt that
the public image is different from the man himself. Pete, apart from being the
best slide-guitar player this country has seen, is a very self-effacing,
genuine, articulate and funny man. Pete mattered because he was not only a key
part of Australian rock'n'roll history; he was, in fact, Australian
rock'n'roll personified - not that he knew it, nor would he tell you if he did
know! Gone, but never ever forgotten!"
A memorial service will be held in Sydney this morning.
Dave Hogan's Meltdown will pay tribute to Wells at Fitzroy's Rainbow Hotel
from 4pm on Saturday.
Brian Johnson appeared at the 2006 "Sunday For Sammy" charity event in Newcastle, and sang the song "Everybody Needs Somebody To Love" (Blues Brothers), and also appeared in a few skits in costume (as an Angel!)
AC/DC's FAMILY JEWELS DVD received best DVD award at the annual ECHO awards held in Germany.

AC/DC still current 30
years on
By Chris Johnston
February 23, 2006
THE AGE (AUSTRALIA)
FEBRUARY 23, 1976, 30 years ago today. What was happening? Premier Rupert
Hamer was introducing new random breath-testing laws. Bellbird, Take Kerr and
Don Lane were on TV. And AC/DC took to the back of an old truck in Swanston
Street to make Australian music history.
The occasion was the filming of the clip for It's A Long Way To The Top (If
You Wanna Rock'n'Roll). It was a Monday morning in the midst of a heatwave.
Work started at 6am and was finished by mid-afternoon, by which time a large
crowd of onlookers had gathered.
Now, with the passing of the years, it has become a unique Melbourne time
capsule, a piece of heritage, with fascinating views of the streets, buildings
and passers-by. Quite apart from the song, and the spirited performance by the
country's best-loved and most successful rock band, the clip is a look back to
a time long gone.
For one thing, Swanston was a Street back then, not a Walk. Green, wooden,
W-class trams rattled through it, jostling with HQ Holdens. It was a simpler
time, proved by the fact that the film's makers, from the ABC's Countdown,
basically just turned up and got down to it.
"We told the council and the police," said director Paul Drane. "But they
didn't seem to mind. There were no streets shut, there was no problem. It's
crazy, I know. These days it would take months to get through the red tape."
A key part of the film is the bird's-eye view over Swanston Street. Nothing
was arranged, so on the day a cameraman simply walked into an office block
near the Bourke Street corner, found the caretaker, and asked if he could use
a high balcony. No worries. Up he went.
But this was rock'n'roll, this was AC/DC, so the best laid plans were sure to
slip away. The band were supposed to turn up at 7am, frightfully early on a
Monday morning for a mob renowned for hell-raising. But they didn't show, so
crew member Peter Murphy was sent to a "fleapit" pub near Spencer Street to
wake them up.
The film clip was among the first in Australia to be made on location, away
from the confines of the TV studio. Now, with AC/DC's incredible longevity
(130 million albums sold) it is one of the most played on television. They are
also experiencing yet another renaissance thanks to deferential new bands such
as Jet and Airbourne. In 2004, a city lane was renamed in their honour.
"Every time it's on Rage," says cameraman David Olney, "my daughter says 'you
should have got royalties for that, Dad.' If I did, we'd be living it up in
Las Vegas by now." But because it was made for Countdown, the ABC owns the
film clip.
The idea to do it in Swanston Street on the back of a truck — a blue ABC-owned
flat-bed, in fact — was hatched by the late AC/DC singer Bon Scott and
Countdown host Molly Meldrum. It was supposed to refer to the Moomba parade
and was shot on three cameras between Bourke Street and Flinders Street. The
budget, according to Drane, was $380. Three pipers from the Rats of Tobruk
pipe band were hired for the song's characteristic bagpipe solo.
Bon Scott's love
letters to be sold

be auctioned.

Irene Thornton, Scott's wife from 1972-74, will sell the intimate writings of
rock's quintessential wild man in April.
The letters, written from 1973-75, are a glimpse of Scott the romantic and
reluctant rock star.
They reveal Scott as a lovestruck, ambitious and, after AC/DC conquered the
world, a lonely and confused man.
"There is 20-30 chicks a day I can have the choice of," Scott wrote. "But I
can't stand that. Mixed up." He's also romantic. Pretending to be a friend of
his, he wrote to Irene: "There is no one in the whole wide world he loves
more. Bon is very lonely and he misses his beautiful young spouse with all his
heart."
He writes of drug use, heavy drinking and his disdain for rivals Skyhooks.
"I reckon we'd have to be the hottest band in the country at the moment," he
wrote in 1975. "The next album will tell."
He also wrote of life on the road: "Got no booze, no dope and no body to play
with except my own."
Scott's letters, his shaving mirror and a vinyl test pressing of AC/DC's
Jailbreak album will be sold at Leonard Joel, South Yarra.
Scott died, aged 33, of alcohol poisoning in London in 1980. Irene lives in
Melbourne.
Heart Attack Records
has set a February 28 North American release date for "Sinner", the latest
album by founder and original vocalist of AC/DC, Dave Evans.
Australian Dave Evans was a member of AC/DC from the band’s inception in 1973
until 1974. Following his departure from AC/DC, Dave Evans formed the wild
hedonistic rock band RABBIT, Melbourne '80s rock outfit DAVE EVANS AND THUNDER
DOWN UNDER, and lastly DAVE EVANS AND HOT COCKEREL. Dave Evans has also toured
as a solo act, and in 2004 released "Sinner" on Germany's Cultural Minority
record label. "Sinner", which has been available in Europe, now makes its way
into stores in the U.S. The album is also available from CD Baby and through
Dave's web site.
After successfully touring in Europe and with the fans asking for and wanting
a new Dave Evans album, Dave got together with some of Australia's finest hard
rock musicians to write and record "Sinner". Former RABBIT bandmembers and
mates Mark Tinson and David Hinds were quickly recruited as was former HOT
COCKEREL bandmember Simon Croft. Along with Newcastle's finest — Mac on drums
and Ngariki on bass (and guitar on a couple of tracks) — everyone went to work
to write and record this classic hard rock album.
Theresa Bowen, president of the "Dave Evans International Fan Club Society",
stated, "I am extremely happy that 'Sinner' is finally available in the U.S. I
have received literally thousands of enquiries from Dave's many U.S. fans
asking — no, demanding! — that 'Sinner' be available here. Now their wishes
have been fulfilled!"
Dave has joined forces with with BLACK ZODIAC, a heavy metal band based near
Tampa, Fla. (www.blackzodiac.net) and they will be embarking on a nationwide
"The Sins Of The Zodiac Tour" beginning this spring.
BON SCOTT's gravesite receives HERITAGE STATUS!
AC/DC: BON SCOTT's
Grave Is One Of Australia's Most Treasured Cultural Icons - Feb. 15, 2006
Tim Clarke of The Daily Telegraph
has issued the following report:
The gravesite of Bon Scott, the legendary lead singer of veteran rockers
AC/DC, has become one of Australia's most treasured cultural icons.
More than 26 years after Scott's death, the National Trust of Australia has
decreed his grave in Fremantle cemetery important enough to be included on the
the list of classified heritage places.
The listing, traditionally reserved for heritage buildings and homes, confirms
the cultural importance of the site, which is one of the most visited sites in
Fremantle, attracting thousands of fans every year. [Check out photos of the
gravesite at this location. More pictures: Photo#1, Photo#2, Photo#3.]
Kim Haynes, the National Trust's WA heritage officer, said Scott's place in
the annals of Australian and international music meant his final resting place
deserved recognition.
"Normally people associate heritage with buildings, and this was a way of
recognising the social values of a place. Heritage is about what we value," Mr
Haynes said.
"This is very much a modern day pilgrimage for many, many people, and (the
grave) is the end of pilgrimage for many people around the world."
Mr Haynes said Scott's memorial was similar in stature to another famous lead
singer whose grave had become iconic and much visited.
"We were able to make a very clear association with the phenomena of Jim
Morrison's grave," Mr Haynes said.
"For that particular form and style of music, AC/DC were very significant in
bringing that kind of music to the world."
The heritage listing comes as WA fans continue their campaign to have a statue
to honour Scott, an effort backed by Fremantle's mayor Peter Tagliaferri.
Scott was born in Kirriemuir, Scotland, but emigrated to Australia at the age
of 6.
Growing up in Perth, Scott first learned drums and bagpipes in a local Scots
pipe band, dropping out of school at 15 and spending short spells in Fremantle
prison and the Australian army.
He joined AC/DC in September 1974 and, aided by regular appearances on ABC
TV's "Countdown", the band became one of the most popular and successful acts
in Australia, and then across the world.
Scott was found dead in a friend's car in the early hours of February 19th,
1980, after a night of heavy drinking in London's Camden Town. He was 33.
February 19th, 2006:

26 Years ago today, original AC/DC Lead singer Bon Scott was found dead on a cold winter night in the back of a Renault 5 on Overhill Rd., London, where he was left the night before to sleep off a night of drinking after hanging out at the Music Machine. Bon Scott will never be forgotten, and will remain in the hearts of fans worldwide forever. R.I.P. BON you are missed.
February 13th, 2006:
26 Years ago today, Bon Scott jammed with French rock band TRUST, recording a studio version of AC/DC's "Ride On" with them, which was later released by Trust in 1998 on a promotional only release. This would mean "Ride On" was the last song sang by Bon, only 6 days prior to his death.

ANGUS YOUNG to cameo in new Australian movie "GOAL! 3".....(not the same "GOAL" movie that AC/DC's Brian Johnson had made a cameo in last year!). This is GOAL 3, which is the third of the trilogy.
Aussie soccer
team to feature in film
Australia's World Cup soccer team and local fans will feature in a major
Hollywood film - Goal! 3.
Australian producer Matt Barrelle, who has been a soccer fan all his life, is
behind the film.
"We shoot Goal! 3 at the World Cup this year and we have actually changed the
script, rolling a bit of Australia in there," said Barrelle, who grew up in
Bondi but now lives in Los Angeles.
"So you will see Australia on the big screen, especially the fan element."
The first film in the Goal trilogy opens nationally this month, following the
story of aspiring American soccer player Santiago Munez (Kuno Becker).
Munez heads to England to try his luck there and manages to score a spot on
the Newcastle United team.
"When I was a kid I did play football (soccer) at school but I was obviously
nothing close to a professional football player," said lead actor Becker, who
is one of Latin America's biggest young stars.
"So I really had to train a lot of hours every day to get ready for this."
Barrelle said Australia's World Cup entry would definitely help the film.
"I am so happy we got in," said Barrelle, 34.
"We didn't plan this in the beginning and thought it was going to be a hard
ride.
Barrelle predicts that by the end of 2006, soccer will be more popular in
Australia than rugby union and AFL, but not rugby league.
"Because of the World Cup, football will jump from being the fourth most
popular sport here into second spot," he said.
"I am sure it is going to come flying through."
Barrelle added that although underdogs, Australia had a "sneaky chance" of
winning the World Cup.
Goal! features Australian soccer fans Anthony LaPaglia and AC/DC's Angus Young
in cameos.
The film also had the support of FIFA, helping Barrelle secure international
soccer stars David Beckham, Raul Gonzalez and Zinedine Zidane.
While Goal! is yet to open in Australia, production is nearly finished on
Goal! 2 and pre-production on the third instalment is well underway.
"This is a great story with the backdrop being a professional footballer,"
said Barrelle.
"We knew we had enough story to create a trilogy."
Goal opens nationally on April 16. SOURCE:

NEW YORK CITY (JANUARY 19, 2006) - Legendary rocker
DAVE EVANS (founder and original vocalist of
megaband AC/DC) and BLACK ZODIAC (a heavy metal band
based near Tampa, Fla.,) will be joining forces to

current album, "Sinner," on Germany's Cultural

across Holland, Germany and Switzerland with
renowned southern rock band Molly Hatchet.
BLACK ZODIAC was formed in 2002 by Cuban-born beauty
Mayelin (vocalist) and accomplished musician Aaron
Robinson (guitarist). To Mayelin, the name BLACK
ZODIAC "represents all the different personalities
of the zodiac with the darkness behind them." In May
2004, BLACK ZODIAC released their debut album
"Psychotic Hatred". BLACK ZODIAC's new album will be
released in 2006 on Dark Anatomy Records. BLACK
ZODIAC approaches their art differently than most of
their contemporaries. They focus on the "whole
picture," taking into consideration image, music,
lyrical content, and performance, all arranged to
fit together in perfect harmony. They look to be
above the standards in metal today by keeping the
lyrics clean and enlightening. They also extract
musical influences from outside of the metal genre
while still being true to the roots of the style.
With Mayelin's vocal power in combination with their
unrestricted musical vision, there will be no end to
BLACK ZODIAC.

Skyhooks eclipsed Buster Brown just as they
were gathering momentum.
Featuring Angry Anderson on vocals, of Rose Tattoo fame, and Phil Rudd on drums, who went
on to play with the seminal & world famous AC/DC, were the backbone of a rock outfit who were a
force to be reckoned with on the live circuit.
Packaged together with tender loving care, this 6 panel digi-pack features a 20 page booklet with
rare photos and liner notes from Australian Rock author Ian McFarlane. Something To Say contains
13 tracks of honest rock and roll reminiscent of Australian bands of today (cue Dallas Crane et al).
Something To Say includes a previously extremely rare track Release Legalise by Rose Tattoo
circa 1980.
Be enchanted by stripped back, balls-to-the-wall Australian rock the way it was always intended to

ROSE TATTOO have been long regarded as one of Australia's top Hard Rocking bands, right alongside AC/DC. Peter Wells, long time guitarist for the band, and also previously in the band BUFFALO, (who were another of the top Aussie Hard rock acts of the 70's ) has been battling prostrate cancer for quite some time, and has been very ill. We want to wish Pete all the best and that fans across the world have you in their thoughts and prayers!

AC/DC Original UK BBC 1976 LP sold on Ebay for $887! One of the most sought after AC/DC LP's by AC/DC collectors- the BBC Transcription service LP discs, which were supposed to have been returned to be destroyed by the BBC after the radio station played these shows. This LP was complete with cue sheets, and sold for a low price of $887, surprisingly as the rarity of these ORIGINAL LP's should have made the price of this even more. Not to be confused with the BOOTLEG versions, (white labels w/black lettering), the original is off white label with Green lettering.

BEST REGARDS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR TO AC/DC AND AC/DC FANS AROUND THE WORLD! CHEERS!
NEW EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEWS ON THE WAY SOON!.......
AC/DC's 'Family
Jewels' Was Australia's Top-Selling Music DVD In 2005 -
According to The Sydney Morning Herald, AC/DC's "Family Jewels" was
Australia's top-selling DVD in 2005. The veteran hard rock band was one of
several artists — alongside KYLIE MINOGUE, THE EAGLES, ROBBIE WILLIAMS, U2,
QUEEN and ROD STEWART — to have two DVDs in the top-40 DVD chart.
In the first half of the year, sales of CDs, records, cassettes and music
DVDs in Australia fell by 7.54 per cent on the previous year, to 22.7
million units. The full year figures will be released in early 2006.
"Family Jewels", which debuted at No. 1 on DVD charts in the U.S., U.K.,
Germany, France, Italy, Norway and Austria, is the band's first-ever
documentary collection of early television performances, video clips and
never-before-seen footage. Disc One is devoted to the Bon Scott era and
dates back to an early appearance on television show "Countdown", with AC/DC
performing "Baby Please Don't Go", featuring Bon Scott in a schoolgirl
uniform. Disc Two centers around Brian Johnson. It captures a 10-year era
from the "Back In Black" album in 1980 and finishes with the "Are You Ready"
clip from 1991.
AC/DC Named
Fifth Greatest Rock Act Of All Time
Australia's Melbourne Herald Sun is reporting that AC/DC have been named the
fifth greatest rock act of all time in a poll of 60,000 British fans.
PINK FLOYD topped the list, beating other rock legends such as U2 and THE WHO
to the title.
LED ZEPPELIN came second, followed by THE ROLLING STONES.
THE WHO were fourth, then AC/DC, U2, GUNS N' ROSES, NIRVANA, BON JOVI and JIMI
HENDRIX.
The poll was carried out by British digital radio station Planet Rock.
(ah..what do they know, we all know AC/DC is #1!!!)
Brian Johnson and Cliff Williams performed in Florida for the Hurricane Katrina benefit on Thursday night December 15th. They closed the show with renditions of "Back In Black", "T.N.T.", "Rock and Roll Ain't Noise Pollution", "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap", "You Shook Me All Night Long", and "Highway To Hell". "Whole Lotta Rosie" was also intended for the set, but had to be cut due to time constraints.

In The Beginning VOLUME 2 Bootleg LP has become available and has been seen for sale online. This is part two of a 2 LP set that contains the earliest known AC/DC recording (1974) with original singer Dave Evans.

A new DVD release available to the UK "Hard Rock Treasures" has been released and includes footage of Brian Johnson donating a variety of items to The Hard Rock Cafe, including stage worn clothes, A part from his race car, and the original hand written lyrics for "Hells Bells".

BRAND NEW AUSTRALIAN EDITION OF ROLLING STONE MAGAZINE on Shelves down under now features ANGUS YOUNG on the front cover:

The US version of this "magazine" should take a lesson here....
Recent news regarding a portion of one of the articles from this issue:
Patrick
Donovan, who pens the "Sticky Column" for Australia's
The Age, has
issued the following report:
Clinton Walker, the author of the Bon Scott biography "Highway to Hell", has
opened a can of worms in the latest issue of Rolling Stone by questioning
the singer's uncredited role on the "Back in Black" album, which was
recorded soon after his death.
He also quotes Scott's last girlfriend, Anna Baba, who says he had drummed
up titles such as "Rock 'n' Roll Ain't Noise Pollution" and had books of
lyrics that mysteriously disappeared from his flat. "There are trace
elements of Scott all over the album; titles and couplets that, if he didn't
write, certainly do him proud," says Walker.
And speaking of AC/DC, a "Sticky" colleague has tracked down an article from
the Adelaide Advertiser, with then-Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger speaking out
about the band, nine years before becoming the Pope.
He described AC/DC as an "instrument of the devil" and claimed the initials
AC/DC stood for the Satanic phrase "Anti-Christ, Death to Christ". He told a
Mass at the Vatican that "subliminal" Satanic words could be found in their
songs as well as hits by THE BEATLES, THE ROLLING STONES,
PINK FLOYD, BLACK SABBATH and even
THE EAGLES.

Thunderstruck movie press release information!
Press Release
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASEAugust 22, 2005 … high energy, fast moving rock and roll road movie… – Movievault.com
HOW FAR WOULD YOU GO TO FULFILL A PROMISE? THUNDERSTRUCK A VAN, “ACCA DACCA ” AND THE AUSTRALIAN HIGHWAY : FOUR FRIENDS MAKE THE ULTIMATE ROAD TRIP IN ANCHOR BAY ENTERTAINMENT'S DEBUT OF THUNDERSTRUCK ON DVD
TROY , MI – Dirty deeds are done dirt cheap in this “discovery from Down Under”. THUNDERSTRUCK is an Australian comedy about male bonding fueled by rock 'n roll and forged on a road trip across the Outback. Starring some of Australia 's finest up and coming actors, the film follows the journey of four lifelong mates who strive to fulfill a pact, to inter one of their recently deceased friends…right beside the late AC/DC frontman Bon Scott. The DVD also includes the film's theatrical trailer, the featurette: Making THUNDERSTRUCK, audio commentary with director Darren Ashton and producer Jodi Matterson, as well as some of the film's deleted scenes. THUNDERSTRUCK will be available for the SRP of $19.98 on September 6, 2005. It's 1991, AC/DC's Razor's Edge tour, front row. Five buddies--Ronnie, Sonny, Sam, Ben, and Lloyd- share one common devotion: the hard rock band AC/DC. During the show, Sonny is thrust onto the stage by his mates, diving right back into a frenzied crowd. The band's legendary lead guitarist Angus Young tosses Sonny his cap in appreciation and the night couldn't go any better, until the mates try and crash the after-party, only to be tossed out promptly. Returning home, the mates look up to see a 1978 poster of AC/DC's deceased frontman Bon Scott. This brief delay appears to save the boys , as their impatient taxi driver leaves them behind and fatally crashes his car . The friends become convinced their devotion to the band saved them from sure death. Relieved and rejuvenated in their devotion to the band, the boys make a pact: The first of them to die will be buried by the other four alongside the grave of their hero, Bon Scott. Many years later,
they've grown apart, frustrated with how life has progressed
unfavorably, but none forget the pact made that night. When
Ronnie is killed by a freak lightning bolt, the four remaining friends
reunite, and motor his stolen ashes clear across the country, to Bon
Scott's grave. On the way, the buddies run into all that's bizarre in
the Australian Outback, and rekindle that rock 'n roll flame that forged
their friendship all those years ago. The deal with Anchor Bay was negotiated by David Garber and Robert Lynch of Lantern Lane Entertainment. December 5th, 2005:
"AC/DC Bootleg album hoax" was reported several weeks ago. However, this album has now actually been proven to exist, and is an actual release!!! Apparently released by some bootleggers in Europe, this mega-rare AC/DC recording had been obtained and put on vinyl LP. The information I found online about this album is as follows:
Recorded live sometime in 1974, at the Hampton Court Hotel residency in Sydney, NSW Australia.
The LINEUP: Dave Evans- Lead Vocals, Angus Young - Guitars, Malcolm Young- Guitars, Neil Smith- Bass, Noel Taylor- Drums.
The set list: Soul Stripper, No Particular Place To Go, Stay For A While, Carol, It's All Over Now, Jumpin' Jack Flash, Rock & Roll Singer. (2 tracks being original AC/DC songs namely "Rock & Roll Singer & Soul Stripper, the rest being covers).
The album is pressed on colored vinyl, of 4 random colors and limited to only 200 copies worldwide.
This is volume 1. The Volume 2 version (which contains the 2nd half of the set) should be available soon as well, and likely coming from Australia or New Zealand.

AC/DC Honored
For 'Best Live Album' In Australian MUSICIAN Magazine Poll - Nov. 30, 2005
According to NEWS.com.au, AC/DC featured heavily in the Australian Musician
magazine readers' poll, with "If You Want Blood" scooping "Best Live Album".
"Highway To Hell" came third in both the "Favorite Song To Be Played At Your
Funeral" and "Best Driving Song" categories.
"You have to remember these are musicians voting, who are very aware of modern
music's nature to be derivative of the 1960s and '70s, and that's why they
keep voting for these songs and artists as their favorite," magazine editor
Greg Phillips said.
"They know all the chords and where they come from, and being aware of how a
song is constructed gives them more of an appreciation for what might be
called quality music."

BRAND NEW AC/DC COLLECTORS MESSAGE BOARD! JOIN HERE
November 3rd, 2005:
Brand new bootleg double LP has surfaced! "Havin' A Blast In Belfast" which is a 2LP re-issue of the "The Bad Boys Are Back In Town", so it contains the same show from Belfast 1979, but is not a gatefold sleeve like the original. This is a limited edition release of only 100 individually #'d copies worldwide and is on lime green transparent vinyl according to the description I've read.

The Black Crowes finished off their tour on October 31st Halloween night with a special surprise- they opened for themselves as an AC/DC Tribute band calling themselves "BC/DC" and all of the members dressed in schoolboy uniforms like Angus Young. They played a very short set of only 3 tracks: "Rock N Roll Damnation", "Hell Ain't A Bad Place To Be" and "Highway To Hell" before leaving the stage to return as themselves.

Soon to be available: a bootleg CD "Back In Manchester" issued on the "black bondage" label (?) and is limited edition of 100 copies worldwide. I am not 100% certain of what show this contains, but I'm assuming it is Manchester 2001.
An ultra- Rare acetate only pressing titled "Completely Uncovered" and is limited to (I believe) 20 copies only. Ultra rare! and the only release containing an ultra-rare never before heard song AC/DC played during this rehearsal jam!!! "Funk The Choir Boy"

Further information regarding the Rochester 80 7" bootleg singles that I've learned:
These singles are limited edition to 500 copies worldwide only!
USA: "Take Da Fookin' Roof Off" is on tru-glow in the dark vinyl and limited to 260 copies worldwide.
Belgium: "Rochester 80" is also on tru-glow in the dark vinyl, and limited to only 40 copies worldwide! This edition also comes with a double CD-R of the Rochester 80 show and a DVD-R.
USA: "Take Da Fookin' Roof Off" on colored vinyl- limited edition of 200 copies worldwide as follows:
Purple/Pink vinyl- 95 copies
Bronze vinyl- 60 copies
Yellow vinyl- 24 copies
Mustard vinyl- 13 copies
Various other color vinyl- only 8 copies
These come with a CD-R of the Rochester 80 show and have picture labels on the vinyl.
CLASSIC ROCK and METAL HAMMER magazines in the UK teamed up for a full AC/DC Special which is due out this month and is a November special issue. They allegedly tracked down and interviewed Aleister Kinnear about his last night with Bon, and apparently word is he was not asked the proper questions, so was easily able to dodge the TRUTH about what really happened!.......... yet he still hides in Spain for the past 25 years..........
October 20th, 2005:
AMAZING!! A one-of-a-king AC/DC Collectible item, a copy of "12 OF THE BEST" (which was a "best of" type of album intended for release in Australia in 1978, but Malcolm said no way, and the idea was scrapped. Only a handful of LP proof sleeves of this are in circulation, and this was the only one cassette copy (which actually includes the cassette!) in existence.) has just sold on ebay for a whopping $9,000!!! Definitely one of the rarest AC/DC items! CLICK HERE for the link.

FINALLY- NEW ALBUM NEWS!
Brian Johnson appeared on Alice Cooper's syncidated radio show "Nights with Alice Cooper", and discussed many things, including mentioning that Angus & Malcolm are currently in London working on & putting "finishing touches" on new tracks for the next AC/DC album. He stated he has been there a few times so far to work on some ideas, and that they have about 46 new songs they are working on, so he is thinking of even a possible DOUBLE ALBUM. It would be assumed that AC/DC should be entering the recording studio within the next month or two to begin recording their long awaited follow up to Stiff Upper Lip.
March 31st, 2005:
HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANGUS YOUNG!!! Turning the big 50 today!
March 18th, 2005:
AC/DC
vocalist Brian Johnson has co-written all of the material and handpicked the
members of a new Florida-based band called BIG MACHINE. The quintet has labels
and industry folk alike shuffling about trying to find out more about the
group performing the first new material written from the iconic frontman since
1988.
Looking to stretch his own musical muscles a bit, Brian compiled in BIG MACHINE
a band of monsters that would best portray his classic songwriting style,
and rip it a new ass on stage.
It all starts with a frontman that can cast his own shadow so to speak along side the story that is BIG MACHINE. That guy is former NEUROTICA/ATHEIST vocalist Kelly Shaefer. Shaefer was also one of the final four vocalists chosen for the frontman spot in VELVET REVOLVER.
Johnson discovered Shaefer in a small club in South Florida a few years back and offered to produce Shaefer's then-band NEUROTICA's first record "Seed". Johnson also sang alongside Shaefer on the track "Deadly Sin" that Johnson and Kaye penned for the band, marking it the first and only time Johnson has produced in his illustrious career.
With music making a retro fitted return to "classic" songwriting qualities, BIG MACHINE spits out a sound ironically reminiscent of the Bon Scott-era of AC/DC. Shaefer's vocal on "Somebody's Looking" casts an eerie resemblance to that of the late Bon Scott.
BIG MACHINE's demo is currently making the rounds to industry insiders, and the stage is set for this band to emerge and flatten the "pretenders" to the throne of rock and roll. How fitting that the beating would come from the man who has carried the torch to that sound for over 20 years!
The buzz on this band is so hot that its first live appearance, on March 24 in South Florida, is sold out two weeks before the date of the show. Not bad for a band that just got together at the top of the year.
Johnson will also be making an onstage appearance with BIG MACHINE on March 24.
BIG MACHINE is:
Donny
Jaurols - Guitar
Doug Kaye - Guitar
Joe Scibilia - Bass
Kelly Shaefer - Vocals
Jeff Klosterman - Drums
This five-piece outfit promises to be a breath of fresh air in these times of "ProTooled" cookie cutter bands that plague the airwaves. With Jaurols and Kaye's relentless wall of guitars, Klosterman and Scibilia's rhythm section providing the perfect soundtrack for Shaefer's throaty approach, songs like "Party Time for 2" and "All Women are Crazy", along with the radio-ready "Wild Wild West", bring back a fun, but daring time of rock.

February 3rd, 2005:
An amazing rarity on EBAY was recently sold for $2,703.03!!! A very unique MEGA-RARITY "Let There Be Rock" UK LP (Atlantic K50366 )pressed on YELLOW VINYL! This gem was auctioned off on ebay for this amazing price, and is likely the only one of its kind, or if others exist it would be no more than 3 copies world wide. Apparently, someone at the record plant in the UK when these albums were produced decided to create a one-off pressing. The same plant has produced the "Rock And Roll Ain't Noise Pollution" 12" single on Yellow vinyl as well (only ONE copy is known to exist), and also on BLUE vinyl (TWO copies have seen worldwide), so it is also possible that a Blue Let There Be Rock may exist, or perhaps other colors, or perhaps Yellow or Blue pressings of other AC/DC albums. These items are extremely rare, and are likely LE 2 or unique pressings altogether.

Rockers come to the rescue for storm victims
Cliff Williams was less than an hour from his Fort Myers home when he caught his first glimpse of Hurricane Charley's destructive path.
Driving along Interstate 75, Williams and his family were making their way home from North Carolina when they noticed how the lush landscape of Port Charlotte turned into an ugly mix of browns and twisted metals.
Once majestic trees resembled giant broken toothpicks. Rigid street signs looked like crumpled aluminum foil.
Williams — the 54-year-old bassist for the popular 1980s hard-rock band AC/DC — could only imagine the devastation that lay ahead.
"When I saw that, I said, 'Oh (expletive),' he said. "I didn't hear from anyone, and I didn't know what to expect."
The damage wasn't nearly as bad as Williams had anticipated. "I lost some roof tiles. The pool cage and the yard look like bloody hell," said Williams, who'll perform a hurricane benefit concert at 7 tonight at Estero's Germain Arena. "It's the price you pay for living here."
As Southwest Floridians began piecing back their lives after Charley's devastation, officials at 96K-Rock thought of organizing a hurricane relief concert.
"We wanted to see how we could maximize our donations as a radio station," said John Rozz, K-Rock's program director.
One of K-Rock's first calls was to Germain Arena. Once the station learned the venue was available, the next call went to Williams.
He agreed, and he knew his next call had to be the person who brought him to Southwest Florida in 1986 — AC/DC's lead singer and Sarasota resident Brian Johnson.
Soon other big-name rockers — Bad Company's former lead singer, Fort Myers Beach resident Brian Howe, as well as Foreigner drummer Dennis Elliott of Cape Coral — joined the K-Rock For Relief concert.
A bit of luck brought another Foreigner member into the fold, too.
"A couple days later, Dennis' wife called and said Lou Gramm (Foreigner's lead vocalist) canceled a show in Tampa and would be driving through the area at that time," Rozz said.
Gramm is scheduled to open tonight's concert with a five-song set of Foreigner songs as well as some solo work.
Then, Howe will play for about an hour. Williams and Johnson will close out the night with a variety of AC/DC songs, Rozz said.
None of the rock stars are being paid for the performance, and all proceeds will go to local Hurricane Charley victims, Rozz said.
Both Williams and Howe said the benefit is something they wanted to do because Hurricane Charley had an of impact on everyone in Southwest Florida.
"I lost part of my roof, a grapefruit tree, orange tree — almost all of our trees. And now there's another one out there," Howe said Tuesday, referring to Hurricane Ivan. "It would really be ironic if this hurricane relief concert gets postponed because of another hurricane."
Howe said Southwest Floridians are proving to be a resilient bunch and that living here is still worthwhile.
"We haven't had anything in like, what, 40 years," he said. "Southwest Florida is a wonderful place to live."
Like Williams, Johnson persuaded Howe to move to Southwest Florida.
"Most rock 'n' rollers don't want the New York, Los Angeles and Miami excess," Howe said. "I wanted a place that wasn't rock 'n' roll. Who wants to pay $2 million to live in a (box-sized apartment)?"
Added Williams: "I wanted peace and quiet at home — that's why I moved here," he said. "The rock 'n' roll is for the road."
It's Official: AC/DC To Receive Australian Street Name Tribute - Sep. 9, 2004
Australia's The Age is reporting that after weeks of speculation, Melbourne's Corporation Lane will be renamed ACDC Lane in a move described last night as a victory for rock 'n' roll.
Melbourne City Council unanimously voted to honour the Australian rockers, who in 1975 filmed their classic rock anthem "It's a Long Way to the Top" on the back of a flatbed truck travelling down Swanston Street.
After a public submission process that received five objections, the council looked at other options, including a plaque in Swanston Street. However, council staff Thursday night (Sept. 9) told the committee the 28 submissions in support of the name change had almost doubled, including one recent submission from Switzerland with 33 signatures of support for ACDC Lane.
Cr Anthony Nicholson described as "a spurious argument" a suggestion that renaming the lane after AC/DC could attract undesirable behaviour. He said he could not imagine a more appropriate way to recognize the band.
Since forming in late 1973, AC/DC has sold more than 140 million albums worldwide. The band already has a street - Calle AC/DC in Madrid - named in its honour.
Former Triple R broadcaster James Young told last night's council meeting that renaming Corporation Lane, off Flinders Lane, was a tremendous opportunity to recognise AC/DC and to celebrate "a fantastic, vibrant part of Melbourne's culture".
"Ideally, I'd like to see a statue of the flatbed truck in Swanston Street, but renaming this lane associates Melbourne with AC/DC, and fans, from interstate and internationally, will go there and have an AC/DC experience."
Outside the meeting, Young said he was surprised with the decision. "It's a victory for Melbourne rock 'n' roll," he said.

AC/DC street proposal gets council support
A proposal to rename a Melbourne laneway after rock band AC/DC has won in-principle support from city councillors.
Melbourne City Council last night considered the plan to rename Corporation Lane, which contains popular nightspots, after the band.
The council says it still needs to hear public submissions on the proposal before a final decision is made later this month.
However, this is the street:

AC/DC: 'Back In Black' Certified 20 Times Platinum - July 6, 2004
AC/DC's landmark album "Back in Black" was certified for U.S. shipments of 20 million copies by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), according to Billboard.com.
This puts Back in Black into DOUBLE DIAMOND AWARD status from the R.I.A.A., a feat only ever available to 5 other albums ever in history of music! This also places Back in Black as the #6 best selling album of all time in the U.S.A. alone, ranking it now ahead of the Beatles "the Beatles" album(which was previously tied with BIB, along with Shania Twain and Fleetwood mac). Back In Black is the best selling hard rock album of all time on a worldwide basis.

BREAKING NEWS:
AC/DC
HIGHWAY TO HELL TEST PRESSING LP U.K. w/ Live band photo picture sleeve!...........

After years of trying to find it.....after it being introduced in the AC/DC Illustrated Collectors guide books, and again in the 1991 Goldmine AC/DC special, and after queries with every AC/DC mega Collector on the planet that I could ask.... my good friend Jack D & fellow Bon fan/collector, who runs the great Bon Scott Collectors Heaven website, Ace Lady, and myself have investigated this mysterious item, and have located one of the people responsible for its "existence" in the first place, only to be given nothing but runaround answers and no proof whatsoever other than the same poor quality black and white photostat looking "scan", it has been concluded that this item never actually existed, and is nothing more than a complete fraud and scam, sending AC/DC collectors on a forever searching ghost hunt for something that never existed. Added more interest to the book I suppose.... sad to say, but true....
If anyone can prove otherwise, I'D LOVE TO KNOW.
Looks like yet another VINYL Bootleg will be surfacing any day now...Route 666 volume 2!

Watch out on the EBAY WARNING page, because the same sellers, and once in a while a few others have been constantly ripping people off with the same fake AC/DC Autographed items again and again! Help put a stop to this!

†REMEMBER BON SCOTT R.I.P. 2-19-80†

Long overdue NEWS update!
AC/DC Begin Writing New Material - Feb. 10, 2004 AC/DC have started writing material for their next album, tentatively due before the end of the year. Fifa Riccobono, the chief executive of Albert Productions, AC/DC's Australian record label and international publisher, has confirmed to Undercover that songs have been written for the next record but the band are yet to start recording. One thing that AC/DC have no plans to release anytime soon is a "best of" collection, according to Fifa. "They guys aren't interested in a best of. They never have been," she said, as reported by Undercover. "They have had a wonderful philosophy. They don't like compilation albums and have always turned them down." The band have generally shied away from putting their music to advertising although they have agreed to certain products that fit with their audience. In Australia, Holden has used versions of AC/DC songs "Are You Ready", "Thunderstruck" and "Back In Black" as recorded by a cover band. AC/DC have also allowed their music to be included in various movies, although they have never endorsed the films. Most recently, "It's A Long Way To The Top" was used in Jack Black's "School of Rock". YOU AM I and TEX PERKINS recorded a version of "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap" for the Brian Brown/John Goodman film "Dirty Deeds", and the songs of AC/DC will also feature in the upcoming movie "Thunderstruck". The movie is about five friends who decide to visit the grave of Bon Scott after a near-death experience.

Note: FRATERNITY's "Jupiters Landscape" is one of the songs on the soundtrack!
NEW SONY "DUAL DISC" for AC/DC's "BACK IN BLACK"!

More info on the DUAL DISC format:
http://www.highfidelityreview.com/news/news.asp?newsnumber=19510882
A CD/DVD disc, one side being CD ,the other DVD, so flippable like a record. The DVD side contains "PCM Stereo" versions of the tracks, as well as Interviews with Angus, Malcolm, Brian, Cliff, & Phil, as well as with Tony Platt, "archival footage", and in-the-studio performances by Malcolm and Angus of: Hells bells, you shook me, noise pollution, shoot to thrill, & others (no idea what "in the studio performances mean...?)...and also on screen discography. This disc is currently only available in limited markets (Seattle and Boston). I suppose as a test to see how it sells.....?
Brian Johnson has said in an Italian Rock magazine in a recent interview, to expect a harder album than SUL, as Angus has been writing "harder sounding riffs", and also expect Brian to pen the lyrics once again, the first time since 1987. Supposedly a "huge tour" to follow.......... (I guess we can hope for a fall 2004 album at this point....keeping our fingers crossed!)
NEW BOOTLEG INFO:

about the show), on black vinyl, comes with 2- CD-R of the full show. I've
seen a few of these on ebay, selling for $125 each!
I suppose since they're limited to only 50 copies, they'll become collector

VH1 Uncovered bootleg 7" single, which comes with a Bonus CD-R and DVD-R
of the AC/DC VH1 sessions from 1996.
VH1 Uncovered French alternate sleeve 7" single, comes with CD-R & DVD-R….same otherwise as the other VH-1 uncovered bootleg 7" single on clear vinyl, but with different artwork for the sleeve.

...and also a Spanish edition sleeve:

Another new bootleg LP that i've seen on ebay: OVERDOSE VOLUME III. The 3rd, and supposedly final release for this series.
I've read online that there will be a Route 666 LP Volume 2 coming out sometime in the near future...? not sure what the differences are from the volume 1 edition.
And also expect to see an AFTERSHOCKS (Flick of the switch demos sessions) 2LP bootleg album sometime this year, i've also read that it will contain a DVD of the recording sessions..........!?!?!?!?!?
There's a new version of the Clinton Walker Book now available in Australia, now with a changed title "The life and death of Bon Scott" (instead of "the life and times of Bon Scott"), possibly containing revisions or possibly different pictures....? not yet certain. (thanks Jack D.!)

has different artwork for the sleeve.

Congratulations to AC/DC for their induction into the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame, Monday night, March 10th! The band took stage without warning and went right into the intro of "Highway To Hell", giving one hell of a wakeup call to the onlooking audience, giving an extremely powerful rendition of the classic song, stealing the stage and the night...Angus donning his trademark schoolboy uniform, Gibson SG and complete with devil horns on head..he gave his all, as did the whole band, with one kick ass performance! Steven Tyler of Aerosmith came out to do their presentation, wearing an old "day on the green" Aerosmith -Foreigner-AC/DC TShirt from 1979 and spoke up for the Greatest Rock N Roll band of all time. A great video package was put together, showing the history and volume of success the band has seen, and they closed it off with a version of You Shook Me All Night Long, joined by Steven Tyler as he and Brian traded verses. A long overdue induction indeed...AC/DC, are now part of this historical recognition- Angus Young, Malcolm Young, Phil Rudd, Brian Johnson, Cliff Williams and the late Bon Scott. No word or mention of original Bassist Mark Evans had been made, as it still seems to be a mystery as to why the hall named him and then withdrew his name from the inductees list without reason. The program guide even pictures an early AC/DC live photo, captioning "Cliff Williams" when in fact the picture is of Mark.
AC/DC did not appear in the press room for photos or questions unfortunately, nor did they participate with the end of the night "jam" session that took place(appeared to have been The Police 'every breath you take'). The buzz, however, was in the air that the band may have come out afterwards, but no sign of the boys.

TUESDAY NIGHT....MARCH 11TH...THE ROSELAND BALLROOM IN NEW YORK CITY. This will be one hell of a night! AC/DC will perform this small venue here for the fans for a one time only show, and then apparently will be heading to London to being working on their new album! News to follow after the show!

Now if only AC/DC is ever on their front cover......
March 2nd, 2003: Happy Birthday to original AC/DC Bassist Mark Evans! Cheers!
Another new Mark Evans interview from Australian Undercover news regarding the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame Nomination then withdrawal of his name:
Mark Evans, bass player for AC/DC has been dealt a dirty deed by the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame but is excited that his former band is being inducted. "I am absolutely thrilled for the band to finally make it into the Hall of Fame" Mark tells Undercover News. "It is something the band really deserves. I was really quite chuffed when I heard". When he first heard the band was to be inducted Evans didn't think he'd be included but then his name was announced. "I knew it was happening for a while" he says. "I knew from about mid last year that this was coming and I was assuming that it would be the current line-up and Bon (Scott). Then word started coming back to me that I was going to be nominated also. I thought that was good and I'd wait and see how it all comes out". His reaction to the news was what you would expect. "I was just blown out" he says. "I was really, really happy about the whole thing. To having that turn around has become a bigger surprise than making it in. I was very disappointed about it. I went through a situation where people would come up to me and congratulate me and I had to bite my tongue because at that stage I knew the whole thing had been retracted. As much as I am fairly immune to embarrassment I have been put in a very uncomfortable situation". Evans is a great believer in the music coming before the business in the term music business. "I don't take the music business all that seriously" he says. "I take it seriously when I need be but the music business to me is about gigging and performing, entertaining and enjoying yourself. I stay out of the business as much as humanly possible. Unfortunately I've been dragged into it a bit by this situation which is something I would prefer not to be". To evaluate Mark's contribution to the success of AC/DC you only have to look at their setlist. On their most recent tour, 8 of the 21 songs they performed were from the 3 albums Mark appeared on. He says the Hall of Fame decision to nominate him and then retract the nomination is unacceptable. "When you consider the last 20 years, what immediately comes to mind "Thunderstruck" maybe? "Who Made Who"?" he says "At the end of the day had they come around and said the current line-up of the band as well of Bon would be inducted, I would have just gone "oh well, missed out". I would have taken it on the chin. That's just part of life. But to be mentioned you are inducted and have it splashed all over the world and then have it retracted, that to me is unacceptable". People in the street stop him to ask what is going on. "I've had to make a bit of a comedy routine about it saying "I'm very proud to be the first person ever to be thrown out of the Hall of Fame without actually getting in there". It has been a bit of a blow. All things like this when you get thrown a hurdle you have to have a relatively good sense of humour, especially in the music business. It is built on monstrous highs and disastrous lows. That is the nature of the business". So what does Mark regret about not being in AC/DC anymore? "I don't have any real regrets. What I am now with my family and what I am doing musically since I left the band, I have had a very good and full life" he says. "I think if I was one of those unfortunate beings who didn't want to get on with things and kept on looking back I think I'd have a problem. With my lifestyle and what I am doing I am very, very satisfied with what I am doing and what I am. My regrets are probably not being able to play with the band. I loved playing with that band and I do regret losing a couple of friendships out of it. Bon is exclusive of this because that was out of anyone's control. I had a very good friendship with both Phil (Rudd) and Malcolm (Young) and unfortunately those friendships have gone by the board now. We had a lot of great times, did some great things but I had a couple of great friendships there. My one regret is losing those friendships". AC/DC will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame on March 10. (By Paul Cashmere)

AC/DC's ANGUS and MALCOLM YOUNG perform on stage with the Rolling Stones in Sydney!
Feb. 19: The Rolling Stones with AC/DC at the Enmore Following a few days of rest and privacy in Australia, the Rolling Stones went public on Monday 17 through a press conference, announcing the Licks "Down Under" tour. The day after they opened the tour in front of 2,200 lucky fans, with a surprise guest spot by the AC/DC members Angus and Malcolm Young on "Rock Me Baby". "Rock Me Baby" had as guest spot as usual, when the Austraian famoust AC/DC guitarist brothers Angus and Malcolm Young played the blues with the Stones. While Angus "took over" the stage, to much amusement by all of the Stones, flirting with the crowd, and doing his great Chuck Berry'ish duck Walks, his brother Angus stayed in the background with Ronnie, even if Mick tried to get him up front too. A true great moment of real guitar playing and performance!

From what I've gathered, the new bootleg "CBGB 1977"7" singles that have surfaced have been released a total of 700 copies in 9 countries. Not too sure if the actual pressings were issued in those countries, but each of the releases have their own countries unique sleeves, making them limited edition releases of 50-100 copies, some on different colored vinyl.
Here is what I found, as follows(Thanks Cyril):
Here are the images of the Spain and Germany sleeves:

Despite previous rumors, apparently rumors have been all they were. AC/DC have not yet entered the studio or begun working on their new album as of yet. As Brian Johnson recently indicated on a recent radio show this past week, the band will meet up in New York for the first time since the end of the SUL tour(probably for starters, the Rock Hall induction), and then Brian, Mal, and Angus will return to London to go over the material to be used for the new album. No word as of yet on who may be the producer, or anything else, but it's likely that we will not see something new until late in 2003, perhaps later.
The new Rolling Stone magazine sports a nice front photo of former AC/DC producer Mutt Lange's wife country star Shania Twain in a tightly fitted vintage For Those About To Rock Tour shirt.
Former AC/DC Bassist, Mark Evans has been denied his listing into the Rock N Roll Hall of fame. Apparently, Mark was told he would be included by the Rock Hall committee some time ago when AC/DC were first nominated, along with Angus, Malcolm, Cliff, Phil, Brian, and Bon. However, now it appears, they have retracted Mark from the list, stating he does not qualify for the induction.
This is a poor decision by the hall, as Mark does deserve to be part of the hall, since he was part of AC/DC and AC/DC's history, playing on the classic albums such as "High Voltage", "Let There Be Rock", and "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap"!
AC/DC's Brian Johnson attended the Hard Rock Vault grand opening on Friday, Jan. 17th in Orlando, Florida. The vault is a new interactive hard rock memorabilia attraction. Also at the event- ex GNR members Slash and Duff McKagan, Zakk Wylde, Nikki Sixx and others.

Apparently, a few more AC/DC Boot 7" singles have been released as well.
Yet two more bootleg 7" singles have been seen for sale...different titles/sleeves than the others again, but the same 2 tracks (Live Wire/Shes got balls) from CBGB's, NY, NY Aug 24,1977.
The
first is(I believe) from France, AC/DC CBGB's...limited edition of 100 copies
on clear purple vinyl, and is a fold out posters sleeve (Angus live poster).
The second is (I believe) from the U.K., and titled "Live Wireless", limited ed. of 100 copies and on Red vinyl
