LITURGICAL


ALTAR SERVERS

    Any young person from ten to sixteen is invited to become an altar server.  Their main function is to assist 
    the presider at Holy Mass. At times, altar servers also assist at weddings, Baptisms, and other sacred functions.

LECTORS
    Lectors proclaim the Word of God at the Eucharist.  Training sessions are held in the fall and cover the basics of 
    public speaking and use of the Lectionary. Any registered practicing Catholic, at least 16, may contact the coordinator.

EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS
Eucharistic Ministers assist the priests with distribution of Holy Communion during Mass. Upon the acceptance
 of the pastor, a registered practicing Catholic is required to take a course and be certified by the Diocese before
 beginning this ministry.  Coordinator - Jackee Kelly
HOSPITALITY MINISTERS/USHERS
    The Ministers of Hospitality donate time and talent welcoming parishioners and visitors to our church. 
    Their duties include: seating, taking up the collection, distributing bulletins, and insuring that the church is 
    presentable before and after each service.

ADULT CHOIR
The Adult Choir sings at the 10:00 AM Mass each Sunday.  Any registered parishioner who loves to sing and 
can attend a Thursday evening practice from 8 to 10 PM is invited.

SENIORS AND YOUTH
CABRINI SENIORS
Cabrini Seniors is our Golden Age Club which meets every Wednesday.  Besides being a socially oriented club,
 our members are involved in many community and charitable activities. Any registered  senior parishioner may contact the

BOYS AND CUB SCOUTS:  TROOP 74 AND PACK 74
Our parish sponsors Boy and Cub Scouts.  The mission of the Boy Scouts/Cub Scouts is to prepare young people to make ethical choices by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath, Law and Cub Scout Promise.

Cub Scouts start at the age of six. The Pack Night meets once a month on Friday evenings at the Parish Center.

Boy Scouts start at the age of 12. They meet every Friday evening at the Parish Center.

Our boys are involved in community service such as food kitchens and food pantries. 

YOUTH MINISTRY
 All teens and young adults may join our Youth Group for fun, social activity, Community Service and a deepening of their relationship with Jesus and the Church.  The Youth Group gathers every Thursday at 7:00 PM.

ALTAR LINENS

 The Altar Society keeps the altar linens in perfect order.  The service commitment is a month at a time.

CATHOLIC DAUGHTERS OF AMERICA
The Catholic Daughters of the Americas is the largest organization of Catholic women in the world. 
The St. Frances Cabrini Court #2438 meets on the second Tuesday of every month at 7:30 in 
the Parish Center.  This group is dedicated to strengthening the spiritual life of its members and serving
 God and His Church.

KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS
The Knights of Columbus, one of the largest Catholic men’s organizations in the world, are dedicated to promoting charity, unity, fraternity and patriotism.  They support various parish activities such as fund raising and community service. 
 They are a fraternal and socially active Catholic men’s club. Contact James Hogan
COLUMBIETTES
The Columbiettes, an auxiliary women’s organization to the Knights of Columbus, involve themselves in spiritual as well as charitable activities:  Right to Life, parish goals, etc.  Contact Doris Gallagher
EUCHARISTIC HOME VISITATION
Eucharistic Home Visitors are special ministers of the Eucharist trained to minister to the sick and the home bound.
  Practicing Catholics who are devoted to the Eucharist,  and who are good listeners are welcome to volunteer. 
Upon acceptance of the Pastor, and after certification by the Diocese, volunteers may begin to minister to those
 who can no longer worship at church.  Contact Joyce Lang
MARTHA AND MARY MINISTRY
This ministry reaches out to families in the midst of crisis, such as sickness,  hospitalization, and bereavement. 
 We prepare and deliver regular meals for individuals and families for as long as is needed.   Contact Judy Sweeney
ST. VINCENT DE PAUL SOCIETY
This lay society serves the needy.  After a home visit, the Vincentians assess the needs, report to the conference, and provide necessary aid.  Contact our Parish Social Ministry Office
THE GIVING TREE PROGRAM
The Giving Tree Program helps make Christmas special for over three hundred children and adults who might otherwise receive little or nothing for Christmas.  After generous parishioners have donated gifts inspired by suggestions on 
the parish Christmas tree, committee members organize and distribute them.

NURSING HOME VISITS
This ministry involves bringing the church to the nursing home.  Volunteers, Eucharistic Ministers and the priest celebrate Mass and distribute the Eucharist.  They also pray and socialize with the residents.

STEWARDSHIP COMMITTEE
The Stewardship Committee develops ways of bringing Stewardship of time, talent, and treasure into the life of the parish.

FAMILY ACTIVITY COMMITTEE
Volunteers create opportunities to involve  all family members into the liturgical, social and prayer life of the parish.

BEREAVEMENT MINISTRY
Have you lost a loved one? would you like to share your feelings with others in our parish who lost someone? 
Our Bereavement Group would like to help. We meet in the Parish Center rooms 5/6 from 7:30 PM to 9 PM 
the second and fourth Tuesday of the month. For further information, contact the Rectory.

PRAYER

 CHARISMATIC SMALL CHRISTIAN COMMUNITY

    This group meets twice a month in each other’s homes.  During the prayer sessions we strive to grow in holiness
     through prayer, reading Scripture, studying our faith and serving each other. Contact Mrs. Susan Pagnotta

    St. Frances Cabrini CSCC also presents an annual Life in the Spirit Seminar.

DEVOTIONAL PRAYER
The parish offers First Saturday Devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.  On Monday, the Novena to the
 Blessed Mother and St. Frances Cabrini following the 8 AM Mass, and Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament 
with Benediction every Tuesday evening.  Daily recitation of the Rosary after each weekday Mass.

ANNUAL ACTIVITIES

BLOOD DRIVE

 Every year our parishioners donate blood.  Volunteers are needed to coordinate a successful blood drive by making 
telephone calls, speaking at Mass or serving refreshments.  Contact Cliff Mitchell
CATHOLIC MINISTRIES APPEAL
This ministry assists the parish in reaching our assessment.  Volunteers are needed to make phone calls and address envelopes. Time involvement: 2 weeks. Contact the rectory to speak with Alice Fazio .

    PARISH ADMINISTRATION

THE PASTORAL COUNCIL
     The Pastoral Council, a planning and consultative body, assists the Pastor in ministering to the pastoral
     needs of the Parish.  It meets once a month from October to May.  Contact the Pastor, Fr. Don Baier
OFFICE MINISTRY
     The Office Ministry consists of volunteers with computer and clerical skills who can assist the office staff
