The function of the people of the Parish Social Ministry is to provide support, love and service to all in need. Our members reach out to minister compassionately with sensitivity and confidentiality to the poor, the elderly, the bereaved, the hungry, the homeless, the homebound, the lonely. We do so while treating everyone with the dignity to which Jesus has taught us that we are all entitled.
Who are the people of the Parish Social Ministry? Volunteers who are homemakers, retired people, young people, working people, people who care, are the people of the Parish Social Ministry. They are those who recognize the call of Our Lord to serve their brothers and sisters in Christ and answer it.
This service is a sacrifice to God that we make for the needy in the name of God. It is a sacrifice that we make joyfully and for which we are paid by the smiles and the happiness of the people who benefit from the efforts we make in the name of God. We welcome all who wish to volunteer for our family within the family.
It is easy to volunteer for any of the areas in this ministry. Just make a call to the office at (631) 736-6835. Ask for Christine Fogarty. If I am not there, leave your name and telephone number. You will be contacted as quickly as possible.
