Put Your Chin in the Dirt

A worm's view of Maine

Maine is breath-taking. There's no question about that fact. But, although most people walk around looking out and up, few people really look down (unless they are watching where they are stepping), and fewer still, look down from down. This page, and the images on it are what I call my 'Chin in the Dirt' series. Was there any question about how I took the pictures?

No, this is not a forest, nor an alien life-form. It's simply a moss and lichen covered rock photographed from about 4 inches.
This is a native flower. It's common name is 'Wakerobin'. The flower grows about 6-10 inces tall around where this picture was taken.
This is another part of 'The Rock'.
